I have to say, I am really optimistic about what DOGE is doing, as well as the nomination of RFK to HHS secretary.

I am also impressed that Donald Trump seems to have great capacity for trusting and supporting his people, and letting them shine and take the spotlight. I never thought Iā€™d be saying this about Trump, but this is a form of leadership that I truly respect. I think that the assassination attempts changed something in him, and certainly the experiences from his first term, and the subsequent lawfare used against him.

I have plenty of criticisms: His memecoin is a clear cash grab and probably a violation of the emoluments clause. And the Stargate project announced with Larry Ellison and Sam Altman should be opposed by all humans who value their freedom and privacy.

But say what you want, he does appear to be completely authentic in his intention to serve American economic and political interests and to restore Democracy and the rule of law.

For instance, his executive order regarding Section 230 means that now companies that claim to be platforms - bearing no responsibility for their users content - must actually comply with the First Amendment right of free speech in order to receive that benefit of immunity from legal consequences. This is a fantastic move and I applaud it. Counter to what many have said about Trump being vindictive, what is occurring here is a simple restoration of the rule of law, in complete accordance with the spirit and principle of the Bill of Rights of the United States.
